About Pogie’s Academy
At Pogie’s Academy, we believe childhood is not just preparation for life—it is life. That’s why we’ve created a hands-on, nature-rich kindergarten program where curiosity, creativity, and connection are at the center of everything we do.
Rooted in a thoughtful blend of Montessori, Charlotte Mason, and Reggio Emilia philosophies, our approach is guided by what we know works best for kids: learning through doing, exploring the natural world, and growing in confidence and character. We don’t follow one rigid model—we pull from many educational traditions to build a one-of-a-kind program that nurtures the whole child.
What Makes Us Different?
We’re not a traditional classroom—and we’re proud of that. Our students:
Build strong academic foundations in reading, writing, and math
Engage in daily outdoor play, gardening, animal care, and nature walks
Create and express themselves through art, music, storytelling, and theater
Learn by moving, building, collaborating, and asking big questions
Receive personal attention in small groups, guided by passionate educators
With two unique campuses—our Farm Campus and our Water Campus—children experience the rhythm of the seasons, explore living ecosystems, and make real-world connections to what they’re learning in class. A private bus transports students between the two locations as needed, offering the best of both environments.
A Joyful, Grounded Start to School
We intentionally keep our school secular, inclusive, and rooted in shared values of respect, wonder, and kindness. Our goal isn’t just to prepare kids for the next grade—it’s to help them love learning, feel confident in who they are, and build the skills they need to grow into thoughtful, capable people.
If you’re looking for something more than just a classroom—something grounded, joyful, and rich with possibility—Pogie’s Academy might be the perfect fit for your family.
